Treasury Wine Estates, the largest wine producing world’s No. 2 said they are planning to solve the huge amount of alcohol in the U.S. inventory. Although the company has yet to disclose alcohol specific treatment, however, the number of wine is expected to be destroyed by pouring down the drain, buried in a landfill or used rollers crush them.
Treasury Wine Estates, producer Penfolds, Wolf Blass and Rosemount said they will try to sell cheaper outdated some upcoming wine for 3 euros / bottle (about 96 thousand / bottle). The company also plans to reduce the number of alcohol 25 million euros for obsolete inventory.
Chris Barnes, a wine expert at the University of Melbourne said the number of alcohol being stockpiled in many months, and there are “pretty awful”. The destruction of the huge amount of alcohol raises doubts about the management of the wine industry of Australia.
Speaking on Radio 3AW, Mr Barnes added: “This kind of wine is definitely good for as long as tasty kind. But the kind we’re talking about is not a good wine “
